[Current diagnostic and therapeutic principles in orbital rhinosinusitis complications]

86 cases of orbital rhinosinusogenic complications (ORC) have been analysed. The authors suppose that severity of orbital lesion depends on purulent or non-purulent inflammation and pre- or postseptal location of the process. In addition to adequate examination of general and local ORC symptoms it is necessary to conduct x-ray of the paranasal sinuses. Indications for ultrasound investigation and CT of the orbit and paranasal sinuses are formulated. A diagnostic algorithm is proposed for ORC identification and specification of therapeutic measures.
