Summary

This study compared two newborn hearing screening methods: transient-evoked otoacoustic emissions (TEOAE) and distortion-product otoacoustic emissions (DPOAE). The distortion-product otoacoustic emissions protocol demonstrated comparable performance to the transient-evoked otoacoustic emissions protocol in identifying hearing function in newborns.
