Summary

Nuclear regulatory factor-kappaB (NF-kappaB) activation is elevated in sarcoidosis patients, suggesting its role in the inflammatory disorder. Glucocorticoid treatment appears less effective at suppressing NF-kappaB than serum angiotensin converting enzyme (sACE).
