Abstract:
Raising the top of the ski-boot does not prevent the feared fractures of the ankle, only changing the angle does. The modern ski-boot with advance and a hight of shaft of about 28 cm produces torsion-wedge fractures in the middle third of the tibia, if the binding does not give away.
