Summary

Progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) shows significant cortical synapse loss, similar to Alzheimer disease (AD). Notably, non-demented PSP patients exhibited greater synapse loss than demented individuals, suggesting a complex link between these neurodegenerative conditions.
