Involve nurses and patients to change physician behavior

That's the advice from researchers at the University of Michigan who were surprised to learn that U-M physicians weren't exempt from the shortcomings documented among physicians nationally when treating AMI patients. They responded with aggressive internal and community-based initiatives to bring U-M physicians in line with guidelines from the American Academy of Cardiology and the American Heart Association.
