Three dihydroxynortropanes were isolated from calystegine-producing plants in the Convolvulaceae and Solanaceae families. Specific compounds like 2alpha,7beta-dihydroxynortropane were found in Convolvulaceae, while 3alpha,7beta-dihydroxynortropane was identified in Solanaceae.
