Recombination hotspot in NF1 microdeletion patients

Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) microdeletions, often maternal, cause early onset and numerous dermal neurofibromas. A new assay identifies a specific hotspot for these NF1 microdeletions, aiding diagnosis.
