Purpose of the Study:

  • To assess the clinical outcomes of microdermabrasion.
  • To investigate the histopathologic changes induced by microdermabrasion.

Main Methods:

  • 14 patients received microdermabrasion over 12-14 weeks.
  • Patient-reported outcomes were collected via questionnaires.
  • Ex vivo and in vivo skin biopsies evaluated acute and chronic histopathologic effects.

Main Results:

  • Significant patient-reported improvements in skin roughness, pigmentation, and overall appearance.
