Abstract:
Ultrasound is a very accurate and cost-effective method for evaluating the aorta and identifying abdominal aortic aneurysms. It is also valuable for following aneurysms for expansion. In the future, the use of color flow Doppler imaging may further prevent the risk of rupture by identifying specific high risk flow patterns. (ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY, Volume 13, March 1996)
