    Summary

    Nicotinic acid lowered liver glycogen and caused hyperglycemia in rabbits. Simultaneous administration with thyroidin blocked increased free fatty acids but did not alter other thyrotoxicosis symptoms, suggesting hypermetabolism is independent of FFA levels.
