    Summary

    Angiography may reveal subtle signs of acute pancreatic transection in trauma patients. However, the absence of specific findings on angiography does not rule out this serious injury.

    • To describe angiographic findings in patients with acute traumatic pancreatic transection.
    • To evaluate the utility of angiography in diagnosing pancreatic transection.

    • Retrospective review of angiographic findings in 2 patients with confirmed acute traumatic pancreatic transection.
    • Correlation of imaging findings with clinical and surgical outcomes.

    • Angiographic abnormalities were subtle in both cases.
    • In retrospect, suggestive findings of transection were noted in only one patient.
    • The diagnosis was not excluded by the absence of specific angiographic features.

    • Clinical and surgical correlation remains crucial for diagnosis.
