Cytokine levels in temporomandibular disorder (TMD) patients show increased pro-inflammatory cytokines and Interleukin-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1ra), but unchanged Interleukin-10 (IL-10). This imbalance may drive osteoarthritis progression in TMD.
