Abstract:
The advantages of the dura mater fabricated value have been demonstrated in clinical applications. These desirable features of blood compatibility and excellent hemodynmaic performance can be advantageously applied to cardiac replacement and assist devices. Application is especially warranted in totally implantable systems where overall efficiency is of major importance.
