Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor regulates myeloid differentiation through CCAAT/enhancer-binding protein

Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) up-regulates CCAAT/enhancer-binding protein epsilon (C/EBP epsilon), a key factor in myeloid differentiation. Overexpression of C/EBP epsilon alone drives granulocyte differentiation, while c-myc inhibits this process by suppressing C/EBP epsilon induction.
