Data and information for evaluating managed care

Despite the rapid spread of managed care, its impact on quality and availability of health care services is not yet clear. That's because, in general, health plans are failing to collect, and regulators failing to require, the kind of data that could be useful. This issue of States of Health explores what information we need to collect, analyze, and disclose in order to assess managed care.
