Gagging prevention using nitrous oxide or table salt: a comparative pilot study.

Summary

Table salt did not reduce gagging from soft palate stimulation, but nitrous oxide inhalation sedation significantly delayed the gag reflex. This study compared gag reflex responses to different stimuli.
