Abstract:
Monitoring of availability of medical care and drugs for the population has been carried out by interviewing more than 4000 residents of Russian cities. Stratification of respondents by the level of life showed that more than 70% respondents evaluate their level of life as below the medium. A social gradient was detected: direct relationship between population morbidity and conditions of life. Analysis of availability of paid medical services and drugs for population with different level of life showed differentiation of the population by the level of life and by ability to pay for medical services and drugs.
