Researchers find new value in group visit concept among chronically ill adults
Abstract:
Pioneered more than 10 years ago for the care of chronically ill seniors, the group-visit concept for primary health care delivery has been tried in numerous settings with varying degrees of success. However, with more experience, clinicians today have a better idea of how to most effectively deliver this form of care--in some cases producing solid financial returns and a high degree of patient satisfaction. New data shows just how valuable the concept can be when applied to chronically ill seniors.
