Purpose of the Study:

  • Twenty-one female netball players were divided into strength-trained (80% 1RM), power-trained (60% 1RM), and control groups.
  • Both training groups underwent a ten-week program combining resistance and sport-specific motion training.
  • Pre- and post-training assessments measured weight lifted, power output, and netball throw velocity.

  • The strength-trained group showed significantly greater improvements in weight lifted and power output compared to power and control groups.
