Summary

Apoptosis, or programmed cell death, is increased in cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) tissues. This suggests that problems with cell shedding and apoptosis resistance may drive CIN development.

Background:

  • Cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) involves abnormal cellular changes in the cervix.
