Summary

Atherothrombosis is key in acute coronary syndromes (ACS). Targeting the glycoprotein (GP) IIb-IIIa receptor inhibits platelet aggregation, offering a potent new strategy for managing ACS patients, particularly those with non-ST-segment elevation ACS.
