Subcutaneous administration of sodium l-thyroxine to patients with hypothyroidism
Abstract:
Two patients with primary hypothyroidism are described in whom an euthyroid condition could not be achieved by oral administration of 1-thyroxine, 1-triiodothyronine or desiccated thyroid. Daily subcutaneous injections of 1-thyroxine normalized the thyroxine and triiodothyronine levels in the blood and the patients became euthyroid.
