Summary

Estrogen (E(2)) alone did not alter plasma volume (PV) regulation by atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP). However, combined estrogen and progesterone (P(4)) treatment reduced PV loss during ANP infusion by decreasing capillary filtration coefficient (CFC).
