[The Fribourg canton hospital: Bertigny II, an indispensable evolution]

The Hôpital cantonal of Fribourg was built in 1971. During the past 30 years, his development has been rapid, due to the evolution of the medicine and in order to respond to the increasing needs of the population. The local population has accepted in 1996 the project called Bertigny II. The new building is an extension of the actual hospital and will be inaugurated in November this year. The emergency unit, the intensive care unit and medical services will take place in this new building.
