Abstract:
There are many options regarding the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). This report reviews the safety, efficacy, and early results of the various treatment options, with a focus on endoscopic therapy for GERD. This approach, which is still in its infancy, is viewed as cost-effective without the associated morbidity of surgery and the necessity of long-term compliance with medical therapy.
