Summary

Equine rhinovirus serotype 3 isolate P313/75, now tentatively named equine rhinitis B virus 2 (ERBV2), shows distinct genomic differences from related viruses. This new classification is supported by sequence analysis and suggests ERBV2 infections are common in Australian horses.
