Summary

Natural killer (NK) cells can mediate graft-versus-leukemia (GVL) effects in mismatched hematopoietic stem cell transplants. This NK-cell alloreactivity promotes engraftment and leukemia clearance without causing graft-versus-host disease (GVHD).
