Abstract:
Each original work, besides its scientific and universal characteristics, keeps links with the personality of its creator. Starting with evidence of the acceptance by Freud of his Jewish roots, we try to show that some aspects of psychoanalysis can be enlightened by considering specific problems of Judaism. The resemblance between psychoanalytical thinking and the Jewish mystical tradition is full of mystery.
