[Fragments of a personal history]
Abstract:
A. Hesnard was, immediately after the war and for a long time afterward, the only psychoanalyst in the South-East where he trained numerous students. The various members of the local Society, which represented the Mediterranean Group for the Study of Psychoanalysis, had diverse destinies, but a large number of them, later continuing their studies, went on to become practicing analysts. With the personal history of the author as a backdrop, the work conditions of this period, starting in 1949 and extending over a ten year period, are described.
