Pediatric pulmonary arteriovenous malformations are rare. Contrast-enhanced echocardiography aids in diagnosing these rare lung vascular malformations in children presenting with cyanosis.

Pulmonary arteriovenous malformations (PAVMs) are uncommon in pediatric populations.
Clinical presentation can include cyanosis and clubbing, often without a cardiac murmur.
Cerebral abscess is a potential complication, as seen in one case.

Observation:

Two pediatric cases of PAVMs are presented.
Both patients exhibited cyanosis and clubbing.
The second patient also presented with a cerebral abscess.

Findings:

Contrast-enhanced echocardiography suggested PAVMs in both cases.
The first case also underwent 99mTc radionuclide scan and pulmonary angiography for diagnosis.
Characteristic clinical features were observed.
