Second trimester screening for Down's syndrome: 7 years experience

Summary

This study shows that two-marker prenatal screening for Down syndrome using alpha-fetoprotein (alphaFP) and human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is effective. The screening program was widely accepted, identifying most affected pregnancies in the second trimester.
