This study validated electrode placement for neonatal electrogastrography (EGG) using ultrasound, finding no significant difference in recordings between ultrasound-guided and manufacturer-recommended sites. Neonatal EGG patterns differ from adults, with more frequent bradygastria and tachygastria.
