Summary

Human papillomavirus (HPV) testing for atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance (ASCUS) smears is not yet warranted for routine management. Further analysis is needed to compare HPV triage with conservative management for cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) III detection.
