    Background:

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the nature and mechanisms of the adrenergic response in the urethra.
    • To determine the location and type of adrenergic receptors involved in urethral smooth muscle activity.

    • Pharmacological blockade (atropine, phentolamine, beta-blockers) combined with sympathomimetic and hypogastric nerve stimulation.
