A study of difficulty in child-care during rapprochement crisis

Purpose:
To identify the relationship between difficulty in child-care and rapprochement crisis of child.
Subjects:
413 mothers whose children attended kindergartens.
Method:
The mothers were given the questionnaire and asked to complete and return it. The questionnaire involved the difficulty in child-care scale (DCCS), rapprochement crisis scale (RCS).
Results:
Four factors were extracted from the RCS : Ambivalence, Closeness, Expansion of way to express, and Instability. The pearson correlation coefficient showed a significant relationship between DCCS and RCS for 4 and 5-year-olds.
Conclusion:
These results suggest the importance of assessing the rapprochement crisis when nurse assist mothers with difficulty in child-care.
