Dextran-sulfate cellulose (DSC) apheresis effectively removes low-density lipoprotein (LDL) and other plasma proteins, potentially aiding in atherosclerosis and amyloidosis treatment. Bradykinin generation during DSC apheresis may improve circulation and cause hypotension in patients on ACE inhibitors.
