Summary

Low-density lipoprotein (LDL) apheresis is an effective treatment for severe hyperlipidemia and coronary heart disease (CHD) refractory to conventional therapies. Immunoadsorption shows particular efficacy for elevated lipoprotein (a) [Lp(a)] levels.
