Summary

A fat-suppressed 3D gradient-echo (GRE) sequence offers slight advantages over a 2D GRE sequence for evaluating the shoulder labrum and middle glenohumeral ligament in MR arthrography. However, significant diagnostic benefits were not observed for cartilage or overall pathology detection.
