Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the long-term performance of single-pass pacing using the overlapping biphasic impulse stimulation technique.

Main Methods:

  • 30 patients with single-pass VDD pacing and 8 with single-pass DDDC pacing were monitored for 1 year.
  • Evaluations included basal and magnet electrocardiograms and real-time telemetry.

Main Results:

  • All patients demonstrated satisfactory atrial sensing and pacing capture thresholds.
  • DDDC pacing showed stable capture in 88% supine, 75% upright, and 62% in both positions.
