Abstract:
Experimental data on the function and the regulation of stress-response gene networks are integrated in the GeneNet database (http://wwwmgs.bionet.nsc.ru/mgs/gnw/genenet/). Section Heat Shock Response contains data on the genes that are expressed in a coordinated manner in response to heat shock. Data of section Thermotolerance testify to the role of heat-shock proteins in suppressing apoptosis and in determining thermotolerance. The information on transcription regulation, regulatory regions, and transcription factor-binding sites is accumulated in TRRD (http://www.bionet.nsc.ru/trrd/), section Heat Shock-Induced Genes (HS-TRRD).
