Summary

Detecting viral hepatitis genomes using PCR is crucial for diagnosing non-A to E hepatitis. This study found that polymerase chain reaction (PCR) identified hepatitis B virus (HBV) DNA, hepatitis C virus (HCV) RNA, hepatitis E virus (HEV) RNA, and hepatitis G virus (HGV) RNA in patients negative by serology.
