Summary

This study shows that cytokines interleukin-6 (IL-6), interleukin-1 (IL-1), and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) are linked to experimental cancer cachexia. Indomethacin treatment improved cachectic mice by reducing these cytokine levels.
