Observation:

  • A 52-year-old woman presented with severe right popliteal aching pain.
  • Pain worsened over 4 months, impacting daily activities.
  • Physical knee examination and radiography revealed minimal abnormalities.
  • Associated symptoms included shoulder stiffness and toe numbness.

Findings:

  • Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) revealed a large right C3/4 disc herniation.
  • Cervical spinal canal narrowing at C4/5 was also noted.
