Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the protective effects of dietary fiber on intestinal structure and barrier function in rats subjected to 5-fluorouracil challenge.
  • To compare the outcomes of standard enteral nutrition with enteral nutrition supplemented with dietary fiber.

  • Wistar rats were allocated to three groups: control (Chow), enteral nutrition (EN), and EN with added fiber.

    • Fiber-enriched enteral nutrition may be a beneficial strategy for supporting gastrointestinal health during 5-Fu chemotherapy.
