[Perception of the father's attitudes and educational practices by delinquent and normal adolescents]

This is a study of the perception of fathers' child-rearing attitudes and practices as experienced by the child during his socialization process. Forty-one delinquent adolescents and a similar number of normal adolescents evaluated ten variables of child-rearing by means of a rating scale and projective techniques. Findings strongly support the hypotheses that a significant difference exists between the two groups and that a far greater number of delinquents perceive their fathers as ineffective, negative and pathogenic.
