Tension pneumothorax associated with hydatid cyst rupture

Hydatid disease, a common condition in Turkey, can rarely lead to tension hydropneumothorax from cyst rupture. This serious complication requires surgical intervention but shows good outcomes with no mortality or recurrence observed.
