Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the efficacy of vertical distraction osteogenesis (VDO) for alveolar bone reconstruction.
  • To assess the success of dental implant integration following VDO.

Main Methods:

  • Fourteen patients underwent VDO using the LEAD SYSTEM-Endosseous Alveolar Distraction System.
  • Distraction was initiated on postoperative day 4 at 0.8 mm/day for 10-16 days, followed by a 60-day consolidation period.
  • Dental implants were placed after device removal.
