Hepatic hematopoiesis in adult mouse during experimental rodent malaria

Abstract:
During rodent malaria the development of the hematopoiesis in the liver was observed. This fact was used as a model for the study of the conditions and the features of the extramedullary hematopoietic differentiation, following the state of anaemia induced by parasitemia with Plasmodium berghei. Histological and ultrastructural data on the hepatic hematopoiesis are presented.
