Vardenafil: update on clinical experience.

Summary

Background:

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a common condition affecting men's health.
Phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors are a primary treatment for ED.
Vardenafil is a novel, selective PDE5 inhibitor investigated for ED treatment.

Purpose of the Study:

To evaluate the pharmacodynamics and efficacy of vardenafil in men with erectile dysfunction.
To assess the safety and tolerability profile of vardenafil.
To compare vardenafil's effectiveness against placebo in clinical trials.

Main Methods:

Pharmacodynamic studies to determine vardenafil's absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (ADME) properties.
